Day description
Arrival in Bergen

When you arrive at Bergen’s Airport Flesland, go to the city centre by the Airport Bus, City Light Rail, or taxi.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the first day in Bergen exploring the city. To get the best views of Bergen, head up to Mount Fløyen (320 masl.) The easiest way to get to Fløyen is to take Fløibanen, an attraction in and of itself, with glass roofs and windows that allow you to see around as you ascend. Are you up for a challenge? Then hike Mount Floyen! The hike takes about 45 min - 60 min. Once at Mount Fløyen, you are rewarded with scenic views.
In the afternoon, visit some of Bergen’s attractions while also soaking up some Norwegian culture: Bryggen, Bergenhus Fortress, Fantoft Stave Church and Open Air Museum, to name a few. Art enthusiasts might visit Kunsthall Bergen and the numerous KODE museums to explore worldwide and Norwegian contemporary and modern art collections, of which Edvard Munch is one.
End your first day in Bergen with dinner at Cornelius Seafood Restaurant on an island accessible only by boat. Enjoy fresh seafood while taking in stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Spend the next three nights at a hotel in Bergen.
Fjord Cruise to Mostraumen

Today, you will embark on a 3 hours fjords cruise to Mostastraumen in Bergen. The journey starts from Bergen and takes you on a scenic route where you will witness the beauty of nature at its best. As you sail through the narrow passages, you will pass cascading waterfalls, historic villages, and quaint houses perched on hillsides. If lucky, you might also see some of Norway's unique wildlife, including goats, eagles and seals.
Throughout the cruise, you can listen to an audio guide that will provide informative commentary on the area's history, geology, and wildlife, giving you a deeper understanding and appreciation of this breathtaking region.
While back in Bergen, spend the afternoon making more discoveries in Bergen. The city is a center for art, music, food and culture. Walk down its charming downtown streets with colorful residences that stretch towards the neighboring mountains. There are also many seaside streets to explore and authentic Norwegian culture throughout. Pay a visit to Hanseatic Museum, and St. Mary's Church, sample freshly caught fish at the Fish Market, or check out the Bergen Aquarium.
End the day by enjoying a delicious meal at one of the local restaurants, or why not visit Bergen’s Magic Ice Bar to experience something different? Inside this frozen palace made entirely out of ice and snow, you can take a drink served in ice glasses and sit on ice benches. Its beautiful sculptures, glimmering lights, and stunning architecture will surely bring a touch of amusement to your short break in Bergen.
Edvard Grieg Museum, Mt. Ulriken and sea bathing and sauna

On your final day in Bergen, visit the Edvard Grieg Museum at lunchtime and listen to a lovely Grieg concert. Before you sit down for the Grieg concert at Troldhaugen, you’ll get a chance to tour Edvard and Nina’s home.
For those looking for more adventurous activities, lace up your hiking boots and hike to the top of Ulriken. Standing tall at 643 meters above sea level, Ulriken is the highest of seven mountains that surround the city of Bergen and provides a stunning panoramic view of the city. The hike up to the peak presents some tough terrain, including 908 sherpa stairs, but will reward you with unforgettable vistas. The hike is just as beautiful as Mount Floyen but offers a different experience. If hiking is not your thing, you may still enjoy the views from the summit by taking the Ulriken cable car. The cable car ride to the summit takes roughly 5 minutes. There are restaurants and terraces with mountain views, as well as some hiking surrounding the station. You can also do the hike in winter, just put spikes on your shoes as the steps can be slippery from snow and ice.
After a day of adventures, you can spend a relaxing evening sea bathing and sauna at City Sauna, while admiring the stunning views of beautiful mountains and fjords.
The rest of the evening, just wander around and see what you find.
