The rugged Icelandic Highlands are often referred to as the last frontier in Europe. This trip will take you along ancient routes over the highlands, across the Kjölur Plateau and through the Landmannalaugar Nature Reserve on roads that are rarely used by others.
Day 1: Reykjavik
Day 2: Reykjavik - Laugarvatn
Day 3: Laugarvatn - Akureyri
Day 4: Akureyri - Myvatn
Day 5: Myvatn - Höfn
Day 6: Höfn - Kirkjubaejarklaustur
Day 7: Kirkjubaejarklaustur - Reykjavik
Day 8: Return home
