Glacier walk on Solheimajökull (8.30 AM/9h)

Departing from Reykjavík for an easy walking on the Sólheimajökull Glacier. From Mýrdalsjökull ice cap, the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue extends down to the lowlands and is an impressive ice field of solid blue ice with crusty whitish surface.

With crampons on our feet we take an easy walk up on With crampons on our feet we take an easy walk up on the ice field, where a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses awaits discovery. We will teach you how to use basic glacier equipment.
