Welcome to a luxurious hotel where Nordic design meets the legendary surroundings around the town of Hveragerði, with its hot springs, gushing waters and rolling green hills. Enjoy a comfortable stay in a room with private entrance, specially designed to overlook the landscapes.
A luxurious hotel with legendary surroundings
A true natural experience awaits you here at the geothermal capital of Iceland, just 30 minutes outside of Reykjavík. The hotel is nicely located right next to the Varmá river in the town of Hveragerði, surrounded by exciting hot springs and rolling green hills that give the area a Lord-of-the-Rings feeling – and by that we mean the Shire and not Mordor, of course, even if the steaming hot springs do seem to suggest a much more exciting destination than usual.
The hotel is built in the spirit of Nordic design, with each room exquisitely designed to let in as much of the area’s natural beauty as possible. You will stay in airy, modern surroundings with beautiful wooden floors, spacious beds and all the mod-cons you can desire. If you choose to stay here you will have ample opportunities to disconnect and enjoy the gorgeous nature around you in the most relaxing of ways.
The hotel has a sauna with black stone walls, a wonderful outdoor pool and two bubble pools, and it is close to a number of natural hot springs as well. You will also be quite literally just a few steps away from the Varmá river which is one of the few places in Iceland where you can enjoy a natural dip in running waters, thanks to the nearby hot springs that heat the river. The restaurant offers views over the river and is located right next to the hotel, with an à la carte menu full of delicious slow-cooked dishes. Much of what you’ll find in the hotel’s breakfast buffet comes from organic farms in the local area.
The surrounding area has plenty to offer. In addition to a tourist office and a number of local shops within walking distance, you are also close to the Golden Circle, all that the geothermal town of Hveragerði has to offer and exciting trips to Reykjadalur – a geothermal valley with amazing views, pillars of steam, bubbling mud pools and great hiking trails.
