Silfra, a crack in the lava, is one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets. Silfra lies in the heart of Thingvalla, where the world’s oldest parliament met. The crystal clear water will give you a feeling of weightlessness while you float in the gentle current. After an hour of snorkelling we climb out to enjoy a cup of coffee and some light refreshments. Snorkelling in Thingvallavatn is a relaxing and exotic experience most people only get to dream of!

Other info: Bring swimwear and a towel, warm wool socks and a change of clothes. During the winter months it can get cold. Under water camera can be bought on site.

What is snorkelling?
Participants swim in dry suits though the crystal clear water, breathing through snorkels and looking through masks so with a clear view of the landscape under the water. Flippers are added as this makes swimming even easier.
